There are many things to enjoy when trying out bars and restaurants with sundowners being one of the absolute best. Perched on top of The W hotel on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah is the ‘SoBe Sunset & Rooftop Bar’.
The W is a great hotel and has a level of refinement above others in the area. It’s a great place to spend the day by the pool and beach before transitioning to SoBe for those great moments between daytime and night.
It’s the kind of place where you can start the evening off nicely before heading on elsewhere. Or just stay there. Or start there, head off to somewhere else and then head back to finish the evening. Either way its all good and the kind of place that really makes that work.
Sunset
One of the very best anywhere to be found. With views in one direction over Palm Jumeirah with the Dubai skyline in the background, and in the other is pure ocean to the horizon
Tiki cocktails
Splendid and fun. Particular favourite of ours is the one served in a hollowed out Easter island statue.
Indoors
Sticking with the theme of The W and tiki-esque this terrace and bar is just as comfortable as being outside. And for a little more entertainment check out the pinball machines.
Music
The regular rotation of resident DJ’s seem to always find the right tracks to play to the crowds mood. Especially later on in the night there is always an upbeat and organic vibe to the playlist.
