Singapore Botanic Gardens

Singapore Botanic Gardens

Singapore

Open the year round these Botanic Gardens are a firm favourite with tourists and locals alike. This UNESCO world heritage sight is a sanctuary within the bustling metropolis of Singapore.

Any time of year is good to visit and get some fresh air and balance by walking through the gardens. There is a lot of helpful signage to educate visitors. It is free to enter and look around the main areas and if you choose to (which we heartily recommend) then donations to the upkeep are of course very welcomed.

Variety

There is so much to see here from interesting trees, flowers, a rain-forest and even a separate orchid garden. Check out the famously named ones such as The Obamas and Margaret Thatcher.

Its huge!

Wandering around and taking it all in takes at least a good day. It makes for a lovely walk and is big enough to get those steps in!

Zen

As well as having an actual zen garden it is generally a nice and calm place. Rebalance and relax by enjoying some stillness sitting on one of the larger lawns, or well placed benches perfectly placed for those mindful moments.

Curated

Much like the rest of Singapore, everything is neat and well presented. Extremely well thought out and taken care of by a professional group of clearly committed gardeners.
