Dubai Mall Fountain Show

Dubai Mall Fountain Show

Dubai Mall, Downtown Dubai, UAE

Featured in many videos promoting the modern city of Dubai, the fountains at Dubai Mall capture the attention and awe of millions of tourists each year.

These are an incredibly famous sight which are seen by many. Every New Years eve TV stations around the world show spectacular sights as the clock-strikes-midnight and always have the Burj Khalifa with the dancing fountains as one of the globally recognised symbols of the start of another year. The experience is something to behold when you are there and well worth a visit.

For some excellent Instagram moments have a look for the Wings of Mexico. We recommend getting there early in the morning just after dawn when its just you and a few passers by. It gets busy in the evening for the tourists snapping holiday photos with the vast majority visiting after dark. OUR TIP: The best time for a good picture is at dawn with very few snappers getting that shot so if you want to stand out and have something few other tourists have then this is the time to do it.

Centrally located

The epicentre of Dubai is the Downtown district where many of the cities wonders are based. Right at the foot of the Burj Khalifa and part of Dubai Mall (the worlds largest shopping mall) these feature as one of the centre pieces for this incredible area with so much going on.

Something to eat?

What do you want? Its all there. Five Guys, pizza, Din Tai Fung . . . literally hundreds of restaurants all nearby and many with spectacular views of the fountains.

More nearby

Just mind boggling the amount to do in Downtown. Go to the top of the worlds tallest building, see the giant aquarium, barter in Souk al Bahar, shop in the worlds largest mall or simply walk along the boulevard and soak in the atmosphere and photo-moments.

The experience

Every half-hour the fountains come alive and dance to different music. There is a mix of well recognised themes and also culturally popular songs from around the world. Our favourites are ‘Time to say goodbye’ (Andrea Bocelli) and ‘Skyfall’ (Adele’s James Bond theme).
